As Co-Founder of Emergence Records, Edward brings more than two decades of music industry experience at the highest level.
Edward is an audio engineer and record producer, renowned for his uncompromising standards, creative vision and commitment to artist development.
Edward earned a reputation for his contribution to music that moved culture. With credits spanning GRAMMY® Award winning projects, Edward has contributed to productions for some of the biggest names in modern music, including Nas, Drake, Mary J. Blige & Rick Ross.
Edward helped shape the music group The J.U.S.T.I.C.E League's luxurious sound in the R&B & Hip-Hop scene of the twenty-tens, contributing to classic hit records for Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group and many more. He has contributed to music awarded the New York Times Album of The Year Award, a nomination for the Mercury Prize and Multi-Platinum and Gold RIAA status.
Edward’s exceptional level of expertise now drives every project here at Emergence Records. Specialising in Hip Hop, Rap and genre blending contemporary music, Edward combines industry-leading production with a no-compromise approach to help artists develop authentically.

That same mindset now drives the vision behind Emergence Records, creating an environment where artists receive not only world class production, but also the guidance, structure and support needed to build sustainable careers.
Working alongside Edward, Chris has helped build a label that combines elite music production with experienced business leadership. Their complementary expertise brings together two decades of world class production experience and more than twenty years of entrepreneurial success, creating a unique foundation on which artists can thrive.

Although Chris's professional journey into the music industry is relatively recent, his passion for music has been lifelong. He didn't enter the industry to follow established formulas. He entered with a clear purpose: to build a record label that genuinely puts artists first.
Recognising that exceptional artists need more than great production to succeed, Chris set out to create a label where creative talent is supported by professional guidance and a long-term vision. That ambition became a reality through his partnership with Edward J. Nixon.
Together, they bring two distinct yet perfectly balanced skill sets. Edward contributes decades of experience producing records at the highest level of the music industry, while Chris brings extensive expertise in business growth and strategic development.
